Reviews for Adobe Photoshop CS3 for Photographers: A Professional Image Editor's Guide to the Creative Use of Photoshop for the Macintosh and PC

  1. Review of Martin Evening CS3 for photographers

    Rated 4 out of 5 stars, December 12th, 2009

This is very comprehensive, assumes a certain knowledge of CS3 which you would have before buying a book like this. I liked the style of what Martin Evening suggests is not necessarily the best way but it is what works for him. Written in a very intuitive manner with lots of very useful tips in the side panels on some pages.
  2. Learning PS CS3

    Rated 5 out of 5 stars, October 12th, 2009

Very informative and detailed. Requires time to read carefully and practice. It would have been useful had the editions been seperate for Mac and Windows. Worth the money.
  3. Best CS3 book!

    Rated 4 out of 5 stars, August 12th, 2009

I haven't gone very far into this very comprehensive book on CS3, but I can already feel I'm in for a treat and much needed learning. I have several other books on the same subject and now wish I'd saved my money because this book covers it all, and is easily understood.
  4. A worthwhile investment

    Rated 5 out of 5 stars, July 12st, 2009

I bought this on the strength of the author's book on Lightroom and wasn't disappointed. Its quite a heavy tome, but it is well organised and suitable for reading cover to cover, or as a reference book to dip in to. The author's style is clear, concise and very approachable, and he communicates his obvious knowledge and experience in a tone that gets the balance right between being unnecessarily flippant and over-serious. The step-by-step sections are very useful. The book is well-illustrated and the DVD provides all the exercise and sample files to accompany the text. My only (very) minor quibble is about the usefulness of the offers on sharpening software, etc.
  5. Great Book for Beginner and Intermediate

    Rated 5 out of 5 stars, June 12st, 2009

Before I bought this book, I didn't know anything about photoshop for photography. Then this book provide all the basic stuff for photography. So I really recommend this book to people
