Reviews for Advanced Ajax: Architecture and Best Practices

  1. Such a Microsoft Basher, not one mention of iis or C#

    Rated 3 out of 5 stars, October 12th, 2008

I was quite enthusiastic to read this book but was disappointed and (more importantly) distracted by the author's constant singular bashing of IE. I found it annoying, the likes of "Even the IE6 users, with very little, very buggy CSS support [...]" appeared on page after page. It is definitely Not a book for one developing software for the world's most popular platform or browser.
Sorry this is so negative, but along with the book's continued tautology left me feeling I'd wasted a lot of time reading it. That's not why I bought the book!
