Reviews for Advanced Database Projects in Access

  1. Does what is says on the "tin"

    Rated 5 out of 5 stars, March 12th, 2010

I found Access rather more difficult to understand and use than the other Office products. So this book was most welcome. It offers clear screen printouts of every important move and tells you clearly which option to use, which button to click and where to find anything. You definitely feel you are making rapid progress and building a database which works and which you understand. There is more, in the free connection to a website which allows you to download all of the files for comparison if you feel the need. This is a book which really helps you to learn.
  2. A very useful book

    Rated 5 out of 5 stars, May 12th, 2009

A very useful book though not based on the latest version of Access. It goes through everything you will need to know to build a decent application. It explains the facts very clearly.

I had taught Access to A Level students a few years back and found when I was asked to write a database for someone I had forgotten most things. This book was a godsend and every thing came flooding back.

The book is very much easier to follow that Microsoft's Inside out series though doesn't go into quite so much detail. It is well worth the investment.
  3. BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Rated 5 out of 5 stars, March 12nd, 2009

This book is simply amazing! I have studied each page in great detail and have found that the information provided is just outstanding for the money! Yes, £13 is a bit of a hefty sum to pay for a paperback, but the content inside is mind blowing in terms of value.
Highly recommended for A level students who simply cant grasp the skills required to use Access. GET THIS BOOK NOW AND YOU WILL SHINE, BUT IF YOU DONT YOUR GRADE WILL DECLINE!
Thanks very much for reading this epic review, Peace!!!
