Reviews for Advanced PHP for Web Development (Prentice Hall PTR Advanced Web Development Series)

  1. Good but better out there.

    Rated 3 out of 5 stars, January 12th, 2005

If you have been using PHP for say 6-12 months and are ready to try some new tricks you may find this book helpful. If on the other hand you are an experienced developer you probably won't get all that much from it and I don't say that to be critical.

I personally purchased it thinking I'd learn some new tips and tricks however after reading through the book I came to the conclusion that if this is advanced, I know more than I thought I did. So, if you have passed or think you would pass the Zend PHP certification, this isn't for you. If you know the syntax and have been fooling around with PHP and want to start building real websites with it then yeah this may be for you...
