So Much Valuable Information - a Must Have
Rated out of 5 stars, August 12th, 2009
I was looking for some guidance on agile development and testing best practice, and I wasn't disapointed! In addition to sections reviewing traditional and agile approaches, there is a MASSIVE amount of fantastic guidance provided in real world case studies from real world practitioners faced with solving their development and test challenges using agile best practices. The book concludes with an analysis of the case studies, distilling out the valuable agile techniques used in the case studies, and then shows you how to set up, roll out and improve your own agile method! Finally, the quality of the people involved in this book marks it as something special - in addition to contributions from numerous C and director level industry figures, names like Dorothy Graham, Tom Gilb, Ivar Jacobson, Geoff Thompson and Steve Allot crop up thoughout the book as contributors. And it goes on - Isabel Evans, Graham Thomas, Duncan Brigginshaw, and the Foreword by high profile SQS MD Bob Bartlett! In summary - if you want a BUCKET Load of Agile development and testing best practices and guidance, invest!
