Reviews for Apache Administrator's Handbook

  1. A good read

    Rated 4 out of 5 stars, June 12th, 2002

I wanted a book that dealt with the subject of Apache webserver in a concise and succinct manner. A little intimated by the size of "Apache Server 2 Bible" and disappointed by the O'Reilly book on Apache (which incidentally only covers Apache 1.3), I ultimately settled for this book by Rich Bowen.

On the whole I think this book was definitely the right choice for me. The chapters deal with the subject in a very methodical clear-cut manner for the latest release of Apache 2.0. The book does have a Unixy slant to it, however Windows issues are also addressed. As a Systems Administrator this book has greatly aided my understanding of Apache and hence I strongly recommend it.
