A basic reference

My background is a few years experience now programming in various languajes, also server side languajes such as VBscript with ASP. Having said that, I found this book easy to follow as usual "for dummies" books. However this are the main disadvantages I found:
I wouldn't buy this as a first book to begin with asp.net 2.0 SPECIALLY if you have no experience in web development. Thats not because of the difficulty, but because this is a REFERENCE book as the title says. No real world examples at all. And hardly any exercises you
If you code in C# you will probarbly prefer another book, as I found that after reading half way through the book, the examples are mostly in VB.net.
I didnt find ALL the explantions that clear really for a dummies book.
In conclusion, I think its a pretty good reference to get you started with the basics IF you already have some experience developping sites and applications in other languajes.
