From PC to Mac with nobody to offer advice.
Rated out of 5 stars, February 12th, 2009
I have been a PC, both desktop and laptop, user for years but with the advent of better Digital camera's and the wider availability of wireless broadband I decided to go for a Macbook to edit pictures when on holiday. Not knowing anybody who was "Mac" I read all the magazines and eventually took the plunge. I had not realised how much different the tow systems are! I really started to miss the old Windows hand holding messages of " Do you really want to ...", as things disappeared in a puff of smoke on the desktop! So what I wanted was a "hold my hand" start. This boox is written by a British person, is well illistrated and gets over the initial stages. So well worth the money. I would like book two "Mac basics plus", when it comes out! If you are thinking of buying a Mac then buy this book it will save a lot of heart murmers!
