A useful book

This book is a cross between a text and a reference book. The chapters are arranged logically running through installation, shells, files, editors, multimedia, administration, backups, processes, networks and security. It is liberally littered with commands, and in many cases the expected output of many of them is helpfully printed. Everything is clearly laid out making the book an easy read. I just wish it were a 100 pages longer.
