Reviews for Building a Web 2.0 Portal with ASP.NET 3.5

  1. Must have book for ajax, webservices, SOA, Widgets, LINQ, web parts, MOSS

    Rated 5 out of 5 stars, March 12th, 2009

There is a book for a given style of site - where the pages is filled by ajax calls, and each parts is Drag and drop able - something MOSS users are very familiar with. I would it because I wanted to build a highy scalable portal, using SOA web sercies, content injection using ajax consumed from web services. The resulting site is not very SEO friendly (as your page is written by ajax call). But it shows you what can be done. You can have alook at other portal sites such as [] to see what can be acheived. I am glad I gould this book last year and many ideas have bee used to create some very performant sites.
