Reviews for Constant Touch: A Global History of the Mobile Phone

  1. good read

    Rated 4 out of 5 stars, July 12th, 2006

I like this book, it starts with a few good insights and remarks then gives a good (quick) overview of the origins and further worldwide development of mobile telephony. This is a very quick read (a couple of hours) so don't expect too many details.
My only gripe is the long part devoted to the UK situation, which is not too relevant compared to the rest of the world if the book tries to be general.
The tone is friendly, direct, no frills. So I do recommend this book for those who want to get a quick intro into mobile comms history.
