Reviews for CSS: The Missing Manual

  1. Great Book for reference, particularly with little experience

    Rated 5 out of 5 stars, March 12st, 2010

I really like this book a lot. It takes you from the basics up with good tutorials with a link to the website for additional resources and downloads.

As a relative newbie to CSS it ticks all the boxes for me. Yes you can probably find all the info on the net but I like to have a reference book and this is a keeper.
  2. css manual

    Rated 5 out of 5 stars, March 12rd, 2010

A review from a beginner in the art of css. This is a reference manual that says it all. Well worth the bookshelf space.
  3. How did I live without it?

    Rated 5 out of 5 stars, March 12rd, 2010

I had a very good handle on CSS. This book has given me so much more knowledge and is a fantastic reference point. I use it all the time now. The exercises are easy to follow and it is extremely well written to explain the details. This book would be great for beginners to experienced users. I wish I had bought it ages ago. It has some great tips and tricks and reference sources in it too. Just brilliant!
  4. what else can you ask for in a book!!!!

    Rated 5 out of 5 stars, March 12th, 2010

I challenge anyone (dummy, idiot, bone head, simpleton ..the list is endless) to take on this book; you will not be the same!!! learn CSS from the ground - even below - to the top - You will be over the moon. What else can you ask for in a book!!! all positive feedback are absolutely echoing the same. THIS IS IT! THIS IS THE REAL DEAL! No other CSS book on planet earth! Get this one even if it's gon cost you a hundred bucks (kidding)!! GET IT! GET IT! GET IT!
  5. Excellent book

    Rated 5 out of 5 stars, March 12th, 2010

I am a long standing techie but have not touched CSS before. This is an excellent introduction and reference. The author has achieved the rare skill of writing a book that reads well when learning but is concise enough to make a good reference book. Examples/illustrations are well thought out and crystal clear.

I gave this book to a student intern of mine and he found it easy to use as well and has gone on to get the JavaScrpt book in this series.

I will certainly look at this series of books I am looking for a good technical book.
