Hard to understand without solid maths background.

The book is well presented, as it should be coming from the professional organisation, IEEE. However, unless you have a complete understanding of Fourier transforms and are able to cope with nearly every letter in the Greek alphabet being used in each chapter, this book should be avoided. Not a 'teach yourself' publication!
