Rated out of 5 stars, August 12th, 2008
I am an experienced embedded software professional who is also an enthusiastic reader. I have bought and read many books on embedded software and hardware and I can confidently state that Labrosse's book is a very good reference for beginners as well as working professionals and it does stand out in its league.
The author does not just focus on a limited number of areas of embedded design but gives a very good depth of detail on all aspects of it - including basic maths that is the bread and butter of embedded software and algorithm design.
I strongly believe that this book needs to be on the shelf of anyone who is interested in learning how embedded systems work. It really is worth every penny spent and is guaranteed to be a long term reference for designers and programmers.
