iWork for the iPad is a simple way to create documents; just because it's simple doesn't mean you can't create professional looking documents. iWork even comes with templates to make professional documents with little effort-unfortunately, the templates are limited; if you want to get the most from iWork, then you need to understand how to find and use the advance features of Pages.

Each app in this book is broken into three parts. The first part is about the basic features of each app does: what they do and when to use them. The second part will be more hands on; you will create a document from scratch and learn how to insert backgrounds, manipulate graphics, embed text into graphics, and much more. The last part will briefly look at templates.

This book is for beginning users; it assumes you have no knowledge of the iWork suite. The point of it is to give you a crash course on the basic features of iWork for the iPad as quickly as possible, so you will be ready to create powerful documents on the go.
