Reviews for Macromedia Director MX 2004 for Windows and Macintosh: Visual QuickStart Guide (Visual QuickStart Guides)

  1. Brilliant Content!

    Rated 5 out of 5 stars, January 12th, 2009

The literature fully discusses the basics of Director MX- and how to create multimedia projects that include sound, video, images, 3D Media and how to attach functions in lingo or javascript to these objects to enable their interactivity- including how to link shockwave xtras and external files to a director movie.
Gives a detailed list of code references and a comprehensive map of shortcut keys.
    Pretty good book!
  2. It does what it says on the tin

    Rated 5 out of 5 stars, January 12nd, 2006

As with all these series this book guarantees to visually quickstart your knowledge of this otherwise complex software. Well laid out, clear, concise and without any padding, this book had me creating interactive multimedia pages in minutes. What else can I say? If you want to learn Director Now, then buy this book.
  3. Beginners start here

    Rated 5 out of 5 stars, October 12th, 2004

I am completely new to all the Macromedia Studio suite of programs and this book helped me to really understand not only what Director can do but also what it can't do and when I should be using Flash instead. It is written in a logical, structured way so that by the end of each section I felt confident in applying what I had learnt. Well illustrated and with instructions for PC and Mac users. Highly recommended.
