Technically inaccurate
Rated out of 5 stars, September 12th, 2009
I don't recommend that you buy this book as it containes technical inaccuracies.
Example, page 58-59 Mr Otey states "...all of the different services within SQL Server 2008 are fully cluster-aware including....Integration Services.....Reporting Services".
As anyone who has any experience of SQL Server 2008 knows, Integration Services is not cluster aware (if you wish to cluster it you need to do this separately by configuring it as a generic cluster resource). Additionally, it is not possible to cluster Reporting Services.
This book should have been read through by a technical editor to ensure its accuracy. Very disappointing.
