Reviews for Object Oriented Software Engineering Using UML, Patterns, and Java: International Version

  1. An excellent book for Software Engineering

    Rated 4 out of 5 stars, August 12th, 2001

The book is not heavy like most of the Software engineering books. The book contains some good real life examples. THere is a good chapter on Modelling with UML and the book uses UML modeling to explain software engineering techniques. Very useful chapters on planning, system design, analysis, managing changes in design and configuration management. This was the only non-fiction book, which I read from begining to end. So it's a fun book to read and helpful for those who are studying Software Engineering or those who wish to learn the new techniques in Software Engineering like UML.

The reason I gave four stars is because the book contains no information on Measurement and Metrics in Software Engineering.
