Ignoring the Dummy in the title, this book gives a fast ramp-up into the realm of Oracle 11g. My own background has some familiarity with v.10g and solaris. The book enabled me to get a grounding on the interaction of Oracle and Linux. At times the sql/script examples were basic but it did give me a clearer understanding on how the various processes worked together in the system background and how to troubleshoot if there were issues. Recommended.
