Does what it says on the tin ...
Rated out of 5 stars, August 12th, 2002
`Mastering Perl/Tk' is a big book, weighing in at over 700 pages, so it's a bit cumbersome if you keep finding yourself thumbing through the pages.Like all of O'Reilly Pocket References, the Perl/Tk Pocket Reference is small, perfectly formed and contains pretty much all the information you're likely to need.
If you use Perl/Tk a lot, then you shouldn't have to think about whether or not you need to buy this, and it really will fit in your pocket, unlike it's big brother!

Very Useful as a Quick Reference
Rated out of 5 stars, January 12rd, 2001
This little pocket guide is very, very useful, as there is soo many parameters to remember, it becomes especially useful. After reading the Learning Perl/Tk book, this little pocket reference takes over and you'll never have to look at Learning Perl/Tk again.
Great Buy.

Better than the main book.
Rated out of 5 stars, December 12th, 2000
This booklet is a companion to the Learning Perl/Tk book. Being new to Perl and having as my introduction Learning Perl and Programming Perl I anticipated the same high quality from these two books(learning Perl/Tk and Perl/Tk reference) I was saddened by the first but cheered by the second. If you want a guide you are probably best to buy this and read the man pages. I would not waste my money on the bigger book.
