Reviews for Perspectives on Web Services: Applying SOAP, WSDL and UDDI to Real-World Projects (Springer Professional Computing)

  1. Thorough text for applying web services for real

    Rated 5 out of 5 stars, May 12th, 2004

This is an excellent book which helps the reader to gain a broad range of knowledge to help deploy web services in enterprises successfully. It does this by presenting the issues from different viewpoints and inter-relating them so that the reader can apply the information to the decisions which they may faced in their own organisation. It also provides a strong foundation of the specific components of web services technology.
  2. Objective, broad ranging and in-depth review

    Rated 5 out of 5 stars, May 12th, 2004

This book provides an absolute goldmine of information from experts who have been there and done it, successfully. It will help you address web services from every perspective - strategic, commercial (cost/benefit) as well as architectural, implementation and ongoing support. As such, it has the potential to save huge costs and delays on web services projects by building on the author's previous experience - which is conveyed very objectively and honestly. Highly recommended, and an absolute 'msut' if you are looking to implement web services on the IBM Websphere platform!
