Awkward like the product itself

I am new to Tomcat and had to learn it quickly. Although there is a wealth of information on the Tomcat website it is not well organised and it would be close to impossible to learn from it.
I was hoping for a relatively technical introduction that went to some level of depth in stages. In fact the book is not written like that at all. It has know sense of introducing something and then expanding on it, it just dives in. It acts as a helpful structuring around the information but a poor index makes it difficult to use as a reference book.
A couple of inaccuracies and missing out some small but very vital points meant I wasted several days and my book now has scribbled corrections.
If you have looked at Tomcat and been a bit daunted by the lack of explanation at anything other than the most detailed level then this is NOT the book for you. It reads a lot like the website.
