-
An excellent introduction
Rated out of 5 stars, January 12st, 2005
This book does a great job of teaching the fundamentals of computer science. The fact that Python is the chosen language makes learning the concepts much easier since you don't have to deal with confusing syntax. If you're a beginner without any previous programming experience, a good idea might be to start with a book like this and then move on to something like 'Learning Python' by Lutz and Ascher.
