Practical prozaic tips, no more no less
Rated out of 5 stars, October 12th, 2001
This book mainly consists of tips, quite randomly put together, to solve some very very basic problems one might encounter. It does not teach any fundamental knowledge of either system administration or technology. Overall this book smells a lot like Micro$oft lecture; lots of "point here's" and "click there's".There must be better books out there, if you know them, please drop a line.

essential reference for administrators
Rated out of 5 stars, September 12th, 2001
This is a very well put together book very clear with it's discriptions and use of terminology. The author has used both indepth knowledge and also a view from the learning administrator which is very clear and concise. The book is bang on and great to have on the desk for those little things that you know how to do but need to check your syntax and other possible solutions . An excellent must have book well done..
