1. Limited knowledge and not much help

   I purchased this book as the Jasper team are notorious for bad on-line documentation and the docs included with the iReport product are limited to say the least. Like "The Definitive Guide to JasperReports", there is very little of any value in this book. Although the book provides a basic tutorial on iReport, the reader will outgrow the information contained in the book before he has finished reading it. Anyone considering purchasing this book should first download iReport and have a play with the tool. With some practice and Google, you can save yourself wasted time and money by not buying this book. I would have expected better from one of the core members of the Jasper team and I certainly would have expected better from the editor at Apress. I would have awarded zero stars if Amazon had allowed it.
