Surprisingly good

This book started off really basic, but if you actually persist (dont worry it isnt a long book) you can actually learn some really nifty shortcuts and get more out of your iPhone -
Way to over playied

This book does take you though all the features of the iphone and each page is focussed on a single feature but it really pads it out.
If there is a better reviewed book on the iphone buy that. -
The Book is better then the phone! (Well maybe not)

Ok maybe thats not strictly true, but the book covers features that the Uk iPhone doesn't have. For example it covers the Bluetooth connects. Great if you are in the USA as America iPhones can connect to any Bluetooth device but O2 and Apple advise that there is limited connectability to some Bluetooth devices. Here the iPhone will connect to other iPhones and not all bluetooth phones, so if you have a nice shiney new car with a Bluetooth connection or a Bluetooth headphone it may not connect.
The book is however, well written easy to follow and since the iPhone doesn't come with a manual, its a ideal way to learn, quite speedily, how to use your phone. The book isn't meant to be read chapter by chapter but for those who own the iPhone to delve into. I did read it cover to cover, iPhone in hand, and I am amazed at the information it gives you which is not evident from the Apple videos or from the small "Getting Started" booklet the iPhone comes with. See the way to open up to large size pictures an web pages by using two fingers on the screen and opening them. Brilliant!
I liked the book - and love Scott Kelby's humour. It makes the book easy and a joy to read and it seems wired laughing out loud when reading a technical manual.
Good book and if you get an iPhone - an essential buy.
