Reviews for The Rough Guide to Windows 7 (Rough Guide Internet/Computing)

  1. Windows 7 paperback

    Rated 4 out of 5 stars, February 12th, 2010

This is a good little book for getting started out in Windows 7. Or just to have as a reference next to your computer, it has good pictures in it and the text is kept down. It has quite a few good tips in there that will come in handy. It is not very in-depth but has enough in there to give you the general idea of windows 7, a good book to have next to your home computer.
  2. This Rough Guide to Windows &

    Rated 5 out of 5 stars, January 12th, 2010

An excellent well written guide. Has already been of great help which the new Windows 7.
  3. Not What I Expected

    Rated 3 out of 5 stars, December 12th, 2009

Gives an overview of Windows 7 but not really what I expected. It gives some useless information and some information that is given is incomplete. I tried downloading some software recommended from websites in the book and found them to be unsuitable.
  4. Broad but superficial

    Rated 2 out of 5 stars, November 12rd, 2009

It was not clear from the information or reviews exactly what is offered here. It is a mix of general Windows help and some Windows 7 specifics. But dealt with very lightly. The new Windows features can be gleaned from the book in a very short time and you are left feeling short changed. Or at least I was.
  5. Excellent introduction to Windows 7

    Rated 5 out of 5 stars, October 12st, 2009

This book offers a simple, easy to understand guide to all the main features of Windows 7. It includes aspects of networking as well as using software by Microsoft and others in order to get the best performanc and satisfaction from this new O.S.
Well worth a read before you decide on your hardware upgrade options!
    Excellent value for money.
