Reviews for The Unix System (International Computer Science Series)

  1. A little old but still valid

    Rated 3 out of 5 stars, April 12th, 2007

There is better unix books available now a days. For thous who are interested of either classical unix books or unix history this book is a must to have. It is miraculous how little unix have changed since 1982 when book was written. Ok, there's now linux, gnu utilities, servers and services that people could only dream way back then, but unix itself has not changed much or syntax of thous commands that are familiar for every unix user.
