Good for getting a team up and running
Rated out of 5 stars, November 12st, 2007
I found this book useful as it provides a basic introduction to the VSTS tools. It provides a good mixture of theory and practical with detailed exercised for you to follow. I would have liked more coverage of the standard reports, but still it ticked most of the boxes in terms of getting my team up and running. I also liked the agile take of the book providing a middle coarse between heavy process and code+test. -
Putting Agile Concepts into practical context
Rated out of 5 stars, October 12th, 2007
I found this book really useful for getting me startied with Team System. The exercises helped put the software engineering and agile concepts into a practical context and brought the ideas to life. My only criticism is that at 820 pages it's a bit long, but then it does cover the entire software development lifecycle. This is a solid book, well written and provides excellent value for money.
