Great Introduction To Web Development
Rated out of 5 stars, July 12th, 2002
Too many people are being convinced (by the marketing departments of certain large companies) that the best way to build interactive web sites is to use some proprietary architecture. This book proves that this just isn't the case. The best way to build sites is using Open Source tools like Apache and Perl. The book opens with one of the best arguments in favour of Open Source software that I've read for some time. It then goes on to look in more detail at a number of techniques, before putting them all together in a well thought out set of case studies.
