  1. USEFUL

helpful book for someone like me who likes plain simple speak especially where computers are concerned - the title says it all
  2. Windows 7

    Rated 5 out of 5 stars, May 12st, 2010

Excellent, well written and fully illustrated book which lets one clearly understand the everyday workings of Windows 7. No hesitation in recommending it, particularly to those of us who are somewhat up in years.
  3. Plain and simple Windows 7.

    Rated 4 out of 5 stars, April 12th, 2010

Pleased with this book - it is what it says - Plain & Simple. I have only just got Windows 7, so I'm totally new to the concept. i'm finding it very helpful.
  4. There is an easier starter book

    Rated 4 out of 5 stars, March 12st, 2010

The Plain and simple for windows 7 is well presented and goes into quite a bit of detail and I knew what to expect as I have the similar version for Windows XP. Including the pages falling out after much use.
If, however, you are new to computers or like me not that much into the IT business then you may find it worthwhile to add an additional book to get started with windows 7. I can recommend the Easy Microsoft Windows 7 (See it done. do it yourself.) book. This is simple and very well presented, its basic but will quickly get you started.
Then add or purchase later the Plain and Simple book when you want to dig that bit further.
  5. help for lazy reader

    Rated 5 out of 5 stars, March 12nd, 2010

I have a similar book for Windows XP which is very useful so when my grandson was given his own laptop recently I ordered this one for Windows 7 because he is a lazy reader who needs help and encouragement. I will nudge him frequently to find out if he has looked for the various stuff he needs to know.

These books are good and plain and simple to follow and understand.
