Excellent Guide for Windows CLI
Rated out of 5 stars, September 12th, 2005
This book takes me back to the days of DOS. Everything was done with the keyboard, none of that mouse nonsense. Another masterpiece by Stanek, this book is an all-in-one guide to Windows CLI. The book gets very indepth, with the author giving practically all the syntax's and switches to use with all the commands. More importantly, there are also examples of how the commands are use. The author will choose a command and show how, typically, the command would be executed. At first glance the book can be a little overwhelming, but once you get your feet into it, you won't put it down. The book can be used by those who are new to CLI, those who need a little bit of a refresher, and those high paid sys admins who just forgot a certain command. All in all, a great way to learn CLI. I know myself that I've sat at my computer just trying each one out. Another great buy from Stanek!

Very Good Book!!! Goes straight to the point on the issues c
Rated out of 5 stars, October 12th, 2004
This book would teach anybody with a computer (and windows!) how to write command line scripts. It is well presented and easy to follow. I wish it covered more subjects... This is one book that does not need a companion CD and for a good reason!
